Školení elektrikářů

Education accordance with Goverment Regulation 194/2022 Coll.

Our electrical inspectors carry out training in accordance with Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll. on requirements for professional competence to work on electrical equipment and for professional competence in electrical engineering, up to 1kV AC voltage in areas without explosion hazard.

Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll. distinguishes four levels of competence:

Obviously, the higher the paragraph a person has, the more expertise they are expected to have. Persons with expertise under sections 6, 7 and 8 are presumed to be knowledgeable. The term "expert" is thus not just a designation, but a precisely defined term according to §5 of NV 194/2022 Coll.

Testing of a natural person for expertise according to § 8 or for electrical inspectors may only be carried out by the Technical Inspectorate of the Czech Republic (TIČR) and if the person passes the test, he/she receives a so-called certificate from TIČR with a validity of 5 years. Then the inspection technician has to take the test again.

Paragraph 4 may be tested by a knowledgeable person and paragraphs 6 and 7 may be tested by an expert committee headed by an inspection technician...

§ 4 Instructed person

An instructed person is a competent person without an electrical engineering background (but not a knowledgeable person) who has been instructed in the scope of his/her activities:

The content and timing of the instruction shall be decided by the legal or natural person operating the electrical equipment or carrying out activities on it. The extent of the training shall be adapted to the nature and extent of the activities to be carried out by the persons instructed on electrical equipment.

A record of the instruction and verification of knowledge shall be made by the knowledgeable person who carried out the instruction and verification. The record must also specify the scope of the instruction and the workplace specification as described above.

§ 6 Electrical engineer

An electrician is a knowledgeable person who has an electrical engineering education completed by an apprenticeship certificate, a matriculation examination or a diploma and who, after training, has passed an examination of professional competence to perform activities in electrical engineering within the specified scope.

An electrician shall carry out activities on and near electrical installations independently, except in special cases based on risk assessment.

The minimum professional experience required shall be determined by the responsible person in accordance with the risk assessment of the individual activities carried out by the electrician, by means of a local operational safety regulation.

§ 7 Chief electrical engineer

A chief electrician is a knowledgeable person who has an electrical engineering education completed by an education certificate, a matriculation examination or a diploma and experience of at least 2 years, and who, after training, has passed an examination of professional competence to perform activities in electrical engineering within the specified scope.

The chief electrical engineer may perform all activities that an electrical engineer may perform, activity management, operation management and design of dedicated electrical equipment that is not subject to authorisation under another legal regulation.

The minimum professional experience required shall be determined by the responsible person in accordance with the risk assessment of the individual activities carried out by the electrician, by means of a local operational safety regulation.
